With most old timers their skill set is lacking compared to modern greats, however Gans should not be lumped into this phraseology as he resembles a modern day boxer puncher. I have seen Gans a few times on film. He has a jab, cross, combination punching, and accuracy. His power at lightweight is about as good as it gets! How would Gans do vs. the best ever in division history in Leonard, Duran, Armstrong, Whitaker, and Canzoneri?
Hard to say becuase of the film quality but hes obviously a dynamite fighter would be a champion no doubt.
