I thought Kali was a pretty solid operator in his day. Big, strong, decent skills, and tough. If a couple of things had gone a different way in his career, I think he could have held a belt at some point. How would a prime Meehan do against today’s heavyweights?

I think he would have been a contender but how high or in what capacity I’m not sure. He was as mentioned durable, strong, and could punch

Well for me he clearly beat Brewster who had a strange performance that night it has to be said. But apart from that Meehan didn't really make much noise at world level.

He would probably be ranked a top 20 Heavyweight today similar to what he was actually ranked when he was fighting.

I remember when he fought Rahman. Meehan's punches had no effect and Rahman beat him like a stepchild. Probably where he was when he was active, fringe contender at best.

The man who broke Brewster's jaw and should have been WBO champ would be in the mix!

Agreed. And I’ll take it a step further and say that had he not been screwed out of his title shot against Valuev, he could very well have won a strap in that fight as well. The tools were there anyway.
