I have to admit , I don't follow that division closely at all. I know of Hurd and Charlo but that's about it. I don't believe I've seen Hurd fight and I've only caught Charlo once or twice. How does Brook fair against the belt holders in this division?
He would give both good fights, since Brook is skilled, but with the eye surgeries and other damage Kell’s taken since the GGG and Spemce fights I don’t think he has the durability to last long enough to beat either Charlo or Hurd. I still think it was a very short sided decision on Kell’s part to jump two weight divisions to fight GGG, since he had so much potential at 147 before that fight.
Well he was administering a boxing lesson for 5 rounds to a prime 190lb Clenelo who was jacked out of his mind on an industrial dose of Clen at the time and who is the current unified king (albeit via robbery) at 160. Clenelo can beat Khan but Canelo sure as hell wouldn't be able to. So if a 145lb clean and natural Khan can outbox a 190lb juiced to high heaven Clenelo for 5 rounds what do you think he'd be able to do to everyone else at 154?
Assuming his eyes hold up I think he would do well and could even beat a Hurd or Charlo. I think the weight cut to 147 was really hurting him.
I think he would have to much for Munguia right now. He would give Hurd and Charlo a run for their money. Even though Rabchenko isn't very good Brook looked very powerful in that fight and absolutely iced him. I think 154 is a good weight for Brook.
