I was just thinking about this, shamrock fought ortiz but never got a chance to fight liddell and couture. I would have love to see him fight liddell and couture around that time he fought ortiz the first time.
KTFO against Chuck. Randy would be more competitive, but unless he gets a leg lock I dont see how Ken would win that either, Randy UD
Chuck would've beaten Ken worse than Tito ever did, and I don't care how young of a version of Ken you're talking about. Ken may have been able to surprise Randy when he was a rookie, but after Randy started paying attention to submission fighting; forget about it.
I don't understand where this idea came from that Ken was such a good fighter. He was OK, but everyone remembers him because of his brother and because he was in the WF.
Prime Shamrock could definitely be competitive with Randy but just like many many others, Liddell is a H2H nightmare.
MAYBE MAYBE prime Shamrock would be competitive with the CURRENT Randy but that's it. Prime for prime both Randy and Chuck demolish him. H2H now both Randy and Chuck demolish him. This is crazy.
Ken Shamrock was shot when he fought Tito Ortiz - he wouldn't have stood a chance against any credible fighter at that point.Shamrock,at his peak - in the mid 1990's - would definitely have dominated the grossly overrated Tito Ortiz, and he would have been competitive against Couture, too. Huge difference between Ken Shamrock pre and post WWF career.Whatever was left of Shamrock was beaten out of him by Don Frye.He was just a dried-up,shriveled old prune after that.
This. Although Prime Ken was a stud in Pancrase and an excellent grappler. He would have no trouble subbing Liddell on the mat. Assuming he could get him there first.....
