the point being ricco is an average wrestler and not much of a ground and pound artist.
if he can do it theres no reason ken couldnt.

Good God Ken isn't getting shown any love. In terms of grappling, his prime years were LIGHT YEARS away from ANYONE in MMA! Ken provided (along with Severn) the antidote to Gracie Jujitsu in my opinion. Him and Randy would've been a tacticians DREAM FIGHT! They were both so calculating and so precise. Randy with his Greco-Roman wrestling and Ken with his Lions Den attrition and grappling knowledge would match perfectly.

Shamrock also had very underrated stand-up and power. Even at 38 and years removed from his prime, he gave a young Tito a good fight and even staggered him. Must I even mention him ruining Don Frye's ankles? I definitely give Ken Shamrock a shot at defeating Randy Couture.

Shamrock doesn't beat either of them for mine.

You also have to consider Ken and Randy were already past their primes using it up in other sports when they even entered the fight games and were entrepreneurs to the sport. Main difference was that Randy kept evolving with the techniques even though he was an old guy. It's quite sad Chuck lost to Randy even though being the younger man and having coming into the game when it was more obvious that a fighter must be good all around. The only reason I think he beat Randy the second time was because of his youth, otherwise Randy has always been the much better technician.

As far as a fight prime for prime between Ken and Chuck, it's a pick-em fight and I'd actually lean towards Ken. In his prime years he had better boxing and better submissions. This man could even hang with Olympic wrestlers in grappling (Dan Severn). Chuck never made it beyond the college level in wrestling and we know he's no boxer.

I think since the evolvement of the sport and all around skills they all would lose to Jon Jones. Here we have a man who has trained before his prime years and will actual spend his prime years in MMA and not other sports.

Good post HS, but I dont think Dan was an Olympic Wrestler (Althought he was a high level) and Ken's boxing was poor in what ever era you put him. Chuck has a big advantage there

Chuck is technically a stylist nightmare for Jones.
