I would like to see him in his fight with Paul David before I give a proper judgement he seem's to be getting the head down and training he's out of Edinburgh which I think is a good thing for him, hopefully he is getting the right training and sparring down in Machester. If he is 100% fit and his head is right the only one I would be worried about him fighting say in his next fight is Magee who I think may be a bit too experienced, but I would give him a puchers chance. He is a lot bigger than the others and also has an aggression and will to win I have not seen in the others.

paul smith = Kenny points but a hard fight.

patrick j maxwell = kenny stoppage.

george groves = same as above would be a right scrap but think Groves would get stopped if he tried to go toe to toe with such a big hitter.

tony quigley = Crap fight both do bjj so would end up half boxing half bjj.

james degale = kenny I think he would hammer him into submission, think kenny is to big strong and powerful.

tony dodson = Would be a good fight, would like kenny to have a few more before he fights Dodson, right now ie next fight hard to call.

billy jeo saunders = think he's a middle weight to small.

brain magee = right now I go with magee on points.

Going on 12 round fights if it was like 6 rounds I think Degale and Groves might win on points.

Let's have one thing right first of all. In his fight for the celtic title against king (who incidently, james degale is fighting in his next fight), he looked ****, and was VERY lucky to get the decision.

paul smith = smith late KO

patrick j maxwell = kenny points

george groves = kenny early tko just coz they will go hell for leather, and i just feel kenny would come on top

tony quigley = quigley wide points victory, in what would be a bore fest

james degale = degale points (ko if fighting over 8)

tony dodson = dodson = wide points victory

billy jeo saunders = kenny as i dont think he would be bullied by him, like saunders bullies the journey men he is fighting currently. dount they would ever fight, think saunders will campaign at middleweight

brain magee = no brainer, magee, wide points/late stoppage

Just think as has been mentioned, he needs to get paul david, which wont be easy.

From the list i only see two that might last the distance with Kenny the rest he will ko!
Kenny will have a big year next year, i cant think of many other prospect at the moment with a better starting record then kenny 10-0 with 7 kos!

If that is the case, then fair play to the lad for coming through with the decision. I just think it is difficult to make a compelling case for someone with the short pro experiance that kenny has to be looking at a legitimate shot at a british title, the same way in that i think it is preposturous for degale to be talked about as a potential british title challenger in 2010.

I don't see why it is preposterous to be honest.

Why not stick them in there - they don't have to beat every journeyman from John O'Groats to Land's End to prove they are ready...... or do they?

Surely there comes a point where you stop learning and get complacent - just like if you were a Grade A* student stuck in a dead end job..... or a Premiership footballer getting the lumps kicked out of you in League 2!

That's one of the funniest thing's I have read on here. I think you secretly really rate Kenny which is why you take every oppertunity to slag him off, you know he's coming to take your man Smiths title:lol:.

I think it is about a pecking order, and experiance. Degale for example still looks as if he needs to develop in terms of his technique in the pro game.

Kenny, although granted he had a broken rib, still had an unneccesary war with king. It is a learning curve which i feel the most of theprospective challengers need to have.

I did start a thread a while back regarding a uk super six tourno for smw division, and this developed into a tourno for the prospects also so that they could rise through the pecking order, and emerge as true british title contenders. sort of like a league with relagation and promotion prospects.

A few more fights at least for a few of them including kenny, even if it isnt about a pecking order, just think the lack of experiance would tell in a top domestic fight

However it wouldnt be the first time i have been proven wrong about a point like this.
