How would Khan fare against Romanov, in a couple of months, do you think?

You're the guy who said Romanov was pillow fisted, right?

Exactly...so...I'm not going to lose much sleep over what this guy's non-argued conclusion is...he didn't even make the slightest attempt at arguing his case...:verysad; he might be right...but he isn't exactly credible round here; he needs to make a case that stands up on its own, without recourse to his authority...

i said i dont think hes a good fighter, people are saying him and thaxton are a danger to khan.... all i know is he got beat by earl, i dunno though i aint seen him recently i still think khan would beat him though, khans a 1 off, hes got a lot of quality if you'd have seen the clips i saw of him you would think the same.. he looked all heavy legged and tired.. i thought he would end up in a war with thaxton, then thaxton would have a chance

Most people said Thaxton was finished, just as many were saying about Earl, when Khan fought him...no...they weren't saying he'd be a threat to Khan; Romanov on the other hand, everyone who knew him well said he was dangerous...especially against someone like Khan, who doesn't look like he has the most solid chin around.

Romanov would only have to catch him a couple of times flush...could he not do that?

He stands a solid chance, he's more calm and keeps his hands up against Thaxton.

Ramonov Is technically sound and keeps tight simular to Limond but on a higher level.

i think khans chin is over exagerrated.. khans style has changed so another limond situation is never gonna happen, hes got loads of lateral movement now.. he put a clinic on st clair.. he might be small but khan showed a lot of potential in the way he was fighting

Yeah...I saw enough to notice Romanov had a tight guard and looked very confident and relaxed in defence...almost dishearteningly so, for his opponent...he was in full control...clearly, much more experienced than Khan...:think

So that's why you've been underating Romanov , well mr.Bailey you can forget the Earl fight because that wasn't the real Romanov .

He had been out of the ring for 15 months and was very rusty . He gave away a lot of the early rounds as he was still settling in to being in the ring again . He bitched Earl around from the midpoint onwards and had him on the very of being stopped in the 9th . Earl was repeatedly being shook by hard rights hands but was hanging in on volume and heart .

I had Romanov a 1 point winner but I think if he had of been active he would of put Earl away in around 5 or 6 rounds , and that's prime Earl not what Khan faced . Romanov ruined Earl , Katsidis then put him the wrong side of shot . Khan then finished his career .

Gairy wasn't a threat to any extent. Khan was careful, but it wouldn't have made any difference. Khan did show improvement; I liked what I saw...he's coming along nicely...but he's never faced a puncher, especially one like Romanov...he's bound to find the target sooner or later...at least a good couple of times...Khan's defence and movement are no way near so good that he'd avoid getting hit altogether...

    ...so...can he take Romanov's punch?

What are your thoughts on Romanov v. Khan, Big Ears...

You and jeff seem to know most about him...

It looks like the next logical fight should Khan come through tomorrow night as expected. The intriguing thing about a Romanov Khan fight would be who leads off. It would appear Yuri likes to come forward but he does so in a controlled manner. It would be interesting to see if he could fight going backwards.

I don't think Yuri has outstanding power but he is very accurate with his shots so if he could catch Khan coming forward he would definitely trouble him. Romanov couldn't afford to get lazy against Khan because he would be tagged with hard shots.

I think in the end Khan would win a fairly comfortable points decision with Amir being busier & doing the more eye catching work.
