I'm sure as hell not a fan of Kimbo but it's his third MMA fight. You got to cut the man some slack, he's got heavy hands and pretty good technic. Of course he hasn't fought over a "C" class fighter (if that), he's new to the MMA game. He could've taken the Lesnar route (Mir) but Kimbo is just a brawler with power, no wrestling, no JJ, no MA experience. I can't wait to see what he's got for ground game. He could turn out to be another Houston Alexander. Boxers take easy fights to start there career, hell it took JCC 3 years to fight a live fighter. Kimbo seems to humble about were he stands in MMA now. With all that said I can't wait till he gets knocked the **** out.

All those guys beat Kimbo. I'll need to see him fight a guy his own age who really cares about winning and won't just stand in front of him before I put him anywhere near any of those guys.

Kimbo takes it with easy. Sanchez is not aggressive enough.

I was thinking that. He's at least a live, albeit not very good, opponent, too. It'd be a better step up than Tank ever was...

Thanks for the input guys. Ken Shamrock is headlining the next Gary Shaw promoted EliteXC Showtime card next month I believe. Given that the talent pool for heavyweights is comparitively low compared to the UFC I would not be surprised to see Shamrock in there with Kimbo this summer. Shamrock is name that everyone knows and at this point would probably be quickly KTFO by Slice.

"Big" Ben Rothwell is the best heavyweight in the IFL and rumor has it he will not be back with them. This guy was an absolute beast in stand-up in the fights of his I watched. Back to Kimbo, I think they someone like Dan Severn or Ron Waterman - guys in their 40's who are way past their prime but still well known will be the type of opponents Slice will face in the near future.

All of those guys would beat Kimbo. Heath Herring is probably the best match up for him - but Heath is tough as nails. His flaw is that he comes in to fights out of shape, but he's been in with some real bangers in the past.

I hope they put Kimbo in with Ken Shamrock. Ken would eat Kimbo up. Kimbo is no Tito Ortiz. Shamrock is still strong enough and surely far more advanced in submissions than Kimbo can hope to be at this point in his career.
