How would Langford/Greb have gone?

He struggled with Flowers when he was a shot fighter. Also, many accounts of Greb talk of him as more versatile than simply a come forward swarmer like Armstrong.

And seriously, what makes you think Tiger is better inside than Greb? Greb's list ot opponents beaten is certainly more impressive, so why is it not simply the other way around, that Greb would give Tiger hell?

I'd think Tiger's power and strength could cause problems, but Greb's craftiness inside, as well as his speed(the key point), and the ability to dart in and out of range would be the key here. I think of him more as a Calzaghe(at least the fighting version) than a bigger Armstrong.

 

Yes, because those guys were as good as Greb....

He beat a Fullmer at the tail end of his career, and Fullmer was able to draw with him once as well.

 

Greb was a better fighter than Dick Tiger ( who was a great) I saw Tiger lose to Joey Archer and other and seen him beat many but he was not in Greb's class.......Langford was a strong fighter with a long reach and skills and a fight vs Greb would have been evenly matched, however I feel Greb was the busier man and would have done more to get the nod
