I'll include the champ Braddock in the list, so who of the Louis challengers fares best? Does any one beat sonny in your opinion? Does Farr go the distance, does Godoy, does galento land a punch on sonny?. Does sonny make them all his bum of the month club or does someone stop him in his track's?

He more than likely sparks them all out.

I assume that,at the time of winning the title against Braddock,Sonny is 30 years old just as he was in reality when he became champion in the first fight with Floyd Patterson ?

If so,Liston beats the first few of Joe's challengers pretty easily but would lose to Father Time. Jersey Joe Walcott would capitalise on that for sure.

I'm looking at a list of Joe's challenges and trying to determine which ones probably get cracked in the first and if any could give him a decent fight.

Yes we'll make sonny 30 at the start. Godoy could give him a decent fight for a while as could Farr. Schmeling he s out in the first. Galento won't make it to the second. Billy conn possibly a tricky one for a good few rounds but liston will get him. Buddy last s 90 seconds. Some I'm missing out cos they will be one round s for sure. By Walcott he's ageing badly so Jersey could out point him.

Matched against them individually in his prime I think he likely beats them all. But can he replicate Louis's long reign over a period of 12 years? Probably not.

Walcott`s got a shot to outbox Sonny. He was slick and carried some pop himself. I think he has the best chance.

Walcott could definitely give sonny some tough questions, wouldn't be easy but he definitely has the skills to keep out of sonny s way and catch him with those crafty hooks

Liston never fought a top 10 super heavyweight so he loses to Buddy Baer and Abe Simon.

What makes you think that Liston would be successful against any sort of world class opposition over that sort of timescale?

He was a beast for a while, but his run of world class form was pretty short!
