    nobody wipes out Liston, Lewis is my only sure winner

    Liston would be game and even beat some of them dude's mentioned above, but Sonny would have to be well-tuned and serious....

    Bowe was shot at age 29 by 1996 and Spoon was pretty faded as a ringer by 1998... Tyson had little skills left by 2000, but his power was still there...

    Liston didn't have what it took to last against a warrior with a chin. Bowe probably knocks him out, even if Sonny's up on the cards at the time.

    Exactly. Was going to mention this as well as the Ike fight. Byrd is not an ideal matchup for Liston. He plays right in his hands.

    He was still just one fight removed from a KO win against Evander, though.

    I think there is a chance Bowe could have more success against "near prime Liston" with his jab than he did against that version of Golota, who had deceptively fast hands at the time.

    I'm not saying he would, but if he can do better in the battle of the jabs I can see him giving Liston problems.
