nas was a phenomenon in his prime, a modern day roy jones. manny would have standed no chance esp at 126 where he was a crude puncher with no defense at all. nas would have danced circles around him

Manny would eventually catch him as he's swerving off balance and land his straight left down the middle. I could see it being an awkward and difficult fight, given Hamed's physical talents, but I don't see him having the skill to consistently keep Manny at bay.

    50/50.

Both hit the deck.Come down to who got the heart and chin.Manny can be hurt. Both these foos are reckless as fark. But Nazeem tends to be sneeky with his punches and had better array of punches.Manny only has a straight left.No uppercuts or right hook at the time.Naz can throw left and rights. He sneeky with it and he be darting in and out in every angle. But his hands a low as fark! his chin is up he be lunging in. I don't think his whiskers is granite.

I am picking NAZ KO early 3 or Pacquiao breaks Naz down in 9.

This seems like a plausible scenario.

Check out Manny against a speedy southpaw like himself at the weight. Manny uses a responsible guard and thoroughly outboxes his opponent, using a multitude of punches to hurt him, and principally working off of an uncommonly stiff right jab.

    Who knows?

Both have one-punch KO at that weight.

I can't really say. Who ever lands the big punch first, I guess. They were both monsters at that division.

Pac by KO. Naseem got schooled by the only elite fighter he fought.

Pac was much more raw back then. Everything was dependent on his straight left (setting it up with the traditional 1-2), his technical form was sloppier, and he was much more aggressive. I think he was also trying a Mike Tyson style during this period -- constant bobbing and weaving with a high guard as he tried to close the range and land bombs. (Steward even pointed this comparison out in the first Marquez fight.)

Hamed loved it when people came to him, though. That was when he was at his best. Even though he was a KO artist, it's important to remember that he was also a counter-puncher. He set his damaging blows up by exploiting aggression and countering from strange angles. (This is why Barrera boxed him on the outside and forced him into the role of the aggressor, turning the tables and baffling Hamed.) Pac would be charging right into Hamed's bombs.

I think this turns into a wild fight with knockdowns on both sides. Pac will rush in throwing combinations, trying to get the left hand in, while Hamed will do his usual routine of trying to counter with hard, single shots. I think what ultimately lets Hamed down here is his defence. His defence was basically all head and body movement -- he had good reflexes, so he would lean away from shots, sway to the side, etc. This got him in trouble, though, as he would end up eating shots from far lesser fighters than Pac. After some back and forth action, I think he gets caught while leaning back and is dropped and hurt. He has a good chin, but Pac has the power to KO him, which I think will happen quite early in the fight.

Pac might just walk into a counter, of course, and end up hurt -- Hamed could really crack. I would favour Pac to win, though, as Hamed's defence wouldn't be able to deal with the speed, power, combinations and aggression that Pac brings to the table.

The Pacquiao who defeated Barrera will outpunch Naseem, at any time.

    offtopic:
Basing on the video, Pac's build is almost still the same compared today. Pac bulked up a bit and that's it (except that Pac needed to drain himself to come down at 126).

I actually see naz winning this one... his defensive style would fluster pacquiao to no end and eventually break him down. Plus we all saw how good naz's chin was against barrera, and a prime barrera hit him with some real solid shots.

this would've been a much better fight than floyd-pac :deal:deal:deal

Depends, are we talking about in the p4p sense? Or when he was actually at featherweight when he was still raw, wild and unpolished. P4p Pac tears Naz a new *******. The actual featherweight Pac could've been caught by a Naz bomb and could conceivably lose by ko, but he sure as hell cold do the same to Naz.

I know Pac won this fight big, but this video also shows the balance issues he had back then. He was throwing fastballs every time, and this is why he could've been prone to a big counter from someone like Naz. a prime Pac knows how to vary his punches, using more feints...methodical combinations where the first punches are to knock off for guard or to bait with the third being the real power punch.
