His death would have ruined Boxing. So not just the LHw division, but all of Boxing would have suffered tremendously.

He would be bleeding in an ocean of sharks at LHW. Any fight with a top guy would take a lot out of him.

There`s no way all light heavies during the 80`s could have stoppe Hagler, he took Hearns shots better than Andries did and had a far better chin than Roy Jones who moved up to light heavy in the 90`s with ease, only getting dropped a few times at the weight.

Hearns had a thinner waist than Spinks.

If Spinks ate what Hearns did during his welter run he would never have made 147, he`s the naturally bigger man, hence him winning the heavyweight title.

Hagler was really a 154lber in reality. He’d be a welter today.

6’2 Hearns was 180 v Andries so obviously hit A LOT harder than when in the 150s. I mean a heck of a lot because he was a classical puncher from ground up with bodyweight snapped into the shot. None of this is rocket science it’s all very basic stuff.

He punched like a middleweight and stopped all of his title challengers except for Duran and Leonard, he stopped Mugabi who was bigger than him despite moving up from 154 and who was tremendously powerful, Hagler would have destroyed any 154 lbs fighter.

He had a 75 inch reach, it`s very rare for a welter to have a 75 inch reach, he would have jabbed any welter`s head off aside from Robinson even though Robi had a smaller reach and Hearns who he beat anyway, peope might point to Leonard, but no way could the Leonard that got bullied by Duran beat Hagler, no modern welter could compete with Robinson or Hearns aside from Crawford, Hagler would have destroyed Spence but at least Spence is about the same size as Hagler.

I think Spinks would have been a bridge too far even for Hagler

Dick Tiger was near Haglers level and certainly chinwise and look what happened to him. Sleep tight Marvin.

That left hook from Bob Foster felled him like a tree.
