How would Meldrick Taylor do today

    damn straight. I showed the wife some Taylor footage to see if she could pick out the sped up portions. She guessed a good chunk HAD to have been edited, cause no one was that fast. His only big weakness was his head...he just loved to trade and didn't give a ****. Which made him all the more exciting. I maintain he could have been the best 140 lber ever if he hadn't fought chavez the way he did.

    140 is pretty weak outside of Pacquiao. I can't see anyone @ 140 beating him other than Pacquiao.

    Taylor moved to 147 after the Chavez fight, and said weight problems @ 140 played a role. He had some success there and won a title but was basically a shot fighter within a year and a half of winning a title @ 147. Even if he wasn't damaged goods I don't see him lasting that long at the top @ 147 due to the talent level. I see the same scenario here. He'd have a lot of problems at 147.
