How would Mike Tysons legacy look like if he drew the color line?

I think, it was Beyond The Glory (?) a documentary series done on a variety of boxers, and in Tysons episode he claimed Don King filled his head with so much unbelievable ****. He actually says this that King told him they had to stick together because the whites were going to put the blacks in concentration camps like what the Nazis did to the Jews!!!!!

Tyson did draw a color line in the 80s.

    I believe him.

Don King has a history of exploiting racial tensions to get black fighters on side.

Mike Tyson: "Don King is a reptilian mother****er, he'd sell his mother for a dollar".

When is the media ever accurate?

This is a prime example of people not understanding what they are reading. It specifically addresses Jack Johnson. In order to understand what a piece of historical text means you have to look at it through the lens of the people that wrote in more specifically from the point of view of that era.

Dempsey may have said it but if the circumstances weren't what they were things would have been different. NOBODY wanted another Jack Johnson that is why there was the Great White Hope. He said that in order to assure the people of America that that wouldn't happen. Not just a racist thing that he came up with on his own.

The difference between what Dempsey did and if Tyson did it is the fact that America wasn't as racist (just look at the eras from Joe Louis on). The skin color of a fighter couldn't matter less.

When do fighters today disclose the truth about things that happen behind closed doors? They don't! If they did then everyone would know why fighter A never fought fighter B.

I didn't see him fighting any white people after winning the title.

I like Don King. Everyone uses him as a scapegoat. "Don King filled my head .... " GTFOH

(Anyway, whites do have a long history of doing that kind of sh!t to blacks, or so I've heard.)

Or "it's Don King's fault I'm bankrupt..." While he undoubtedly ripped off fighters, enough got through to the likes of Tyson for him to fritter away tens of millions on fleets of Bentleys and Porsches, yachts, planes, gold bathtubs, bling, and enough white powder to prop up the Colombian economy for a year.
