I think he could surprise people and put up a decent fight.

    What do you think?

    Get KO'd in quick time.

Stevenson is very dangerous because he combines speed and power. Clev gets hit too much and despite his high work rate, would definitely get clipped at some point. He comes in too square on and is too much of a target.

That being said, Stevenson isn't the superman he is made out to be. He looks reluctant to take a shot and has been KO'd before himself. You need a move who also has speed and good reflexes to neutralise his offense. Bellew picked the right game plan, but lacked the speed or commitment to his shots to trouble Stevenson. Kovalev would seemingly have no respect for his power and would stick it on Stevenson immediately. Is there a chance Stevenson could KO Kov? Yes, but Kovalev seems far more willing to exchange in order to land that Stevenson would and his post fight interview implied he wants non Kov.

I think he'll do well for a couple of rounds until getting caught with something big wich either ends it immidiately or fast thereafter.
Probably very comparible to the Bellew fight with the exception of Clev winning some rounds.

Good call. It was noticeable that Tony took Stevenson's punches well though. No-one is taking even glancing blows from Kovalev. I think Clev, if he kept on his bike, could easily last the distance with Stevenson.

Wouldn't have the power to keep him off and would get sparked.

No idea what Clev is doing going up to Cruiser. He is is feather fisted at light heavy.

    What bike?

When have you seen him up on his toes and circling around the ring for a round? He stands and blocks shots on his arms.

    Poor post.

Cleverly is not World class, simple as that. Stevenson isn't great himself, but he's a level or two above the Cleverly's and Bellew's of this world.

I reckon he might last a bit longer than Bellew, possibly nick a round or two but there would only be one winner and it would most likely come by stoppage. As one poster has already picked up on, Cleverly and Bellew are not world class. It does not matter how much the promoters say they are it isn't the case.

Probably having great trouble making weight,Jonny.A few have wondered why Bellew has been boxing at light heavy.Ive only seen them on TV but Cleverly looks equally as big a lad,if not a bit more.Think I agree with your assessment re a Stevenson fight.Trouble is,there'll be a few at weight above who'd do the same. But I think both Nathan and Tony can make some kind of mark there.

Nathan and Bellew have both been exposed the only logic thing is to fight each other up at cruiser weight.

Wouldn't call it exposed Troy.Just had the misfortune to run into 2 absolute beasts. But I agree a return at the weight above would be good. But not yet.Like to see them both have some good wins first.Could be interesting.

Like he did vs Kovalev, brutally stopped in a few rounds. Would be fun to see but one sided.
