It would be wise of Ward to never step foot in a square ring with The Krusher..

Did you ignore the video clips Serge posted? Can you imagine what would happen when Kovalev hits him with a hard right hand? I bet even a strong jab from Kovalev could get Ward dancing.

Kovalev would do well to land one flush shot on Ward the whole fight

I actually kind of like Ward, I think he is a skilled fighter for sure but boring to watch at times. His inactivity has ****ed me off, and I am certain his chin can be cracked against a skilled hard hitter, I really wouldn't mind seeing it either.:yep

    Why is that exactly?

Do you realize Kovalev is a very skilled boxer? Not just a come forward robot. He is great at finding range, and has a great jab capable of knocking fighters out.

Sure he can be hit, but Ward doesn't have the power to keep him honest, he could be in seek and destroy mode the entire time, he would land, and It would not be pretty for Ward. Not in Oakland or anywhere.

Ward is a great fighter, but there are certain styles that are all wrong for him in my opinion.

Why when His Holiness has penned many a tune himself?

This one's about how the relationship between him and Virg has blossomed into something beyond just friendship (doesn't take a genius to work out what he's alluding to here either wink wink)

He'd already expressed an interest in what it might feel like to bat for the other team in some of his earlier work.

He's skilled. I'll give you that. But that's all.

He'll get sparked eventually but it'll happen a lot sooner if he's not allowed to employ that genius defensive strategy of lunging in and grabbing a hold of his opponents like a limpet to prevent them from landing punches. :deal

I have no doubt.. If he had a ref that enforced the rules, he may even get out boxed.

If he were to fight GGG or Kovalev, I think we would see him knocked out. GGG not completely sure, but I would bet a lot on Kovalev knocking him out, probably early too.
