The Mayweather at that time probably would have stopped the Pac of that time because that Pac was reckless and hadn't yet been chastened by the "right hand of god" employed by Marquez.

oh geez, Cotto is better than Floyd now? It was Cotto NOT Mayweather. All these fictional scenarios of Margarito, Cotto, Morales, blah blah blah. Reality check, Pacquiao lost TO the older Mayweather. /thread

I'm 54% in favour of Pacquiao because Pac was willing to eat shots from monsters like Cotto, Margarito, Barrera, Morales etc. back then to land his own + he was able to be more crude - it's that unpredictable crudeness, that killer instinct and desire for war that made Manny a major threat to Floyd.
After losing his prime from the gruelling Margarito fight and then being KTFO6'd by Marquez, he lost his killer instinct and had to turn to pure boxing more and more as the years went by (Mayweather's game) - so Pac had an uphill battle against Mayweather and was unable to pull the trigger with the threat he once had now completely gone.
At the lower weights, I'd pick Pac with 62% confidence against PBF from his younger and better days. Pac's assets were echelons greater before.

Vs a semi-shot Pac, I had it 116-112 Mayweather in one of the very most evenly matched chess match I'll ever see. Rounds won by the victor, Mayweather, on the basis of mostly just 1 or 2 light jabs or at best 1 notable punch + the fact that Mayweather would nullify his ring generalship advantages partially by his over-reactive requirement to reset at most attacks or feints from Pac.

Pac use to get hit to the head flush with big right hands left hands over and over his he basically used his chin as defense let me make it simple for you

Pac hit to the head 1000 times down to the head 2 times

Mayweather hit to the head flush 5 times never went down

Mayweather wouldnt be able to take a tenth of the punishment pac took in his career

Cry me a river. The fact that Pac has been hit in thead "1000" times more proves Floyd is smarter in the ring. That's why I don't think any version of Pac who eats head shots in every fight beats Floyd. Floyd has been fighting all his life too since he was 5. His dad forced him to box. We just don't have an adolescent pro system in western nations. The PBF version of Mayweather likely destroys Pac.

Mexicans don't use the I-lost-because-ive-been-in-more-wars excuse. Should we discredit Pac for beating a Barrera, Morales, DLH, Margarito, Cotto (PR) who have been in more wars? Enough with the excuses.

Why did Pac get his astral body knocked out of him in the Marquez fight if he was so invulnerable?

How would Pacquaio have fared against the Floyd who fought JMM? 2010 was the best time for both to fight, but we know why that fight never happened at that time...RIGHT?
