How would of Mayweather fared with the Pacqauio that pummeled Miguel Cotto that night?

It doesn't cloud my feeling as to how the Pac at the time of the Cotto fight would have fared against the Mayweather at the same time. There's no doubt in my mind that Mayweather would have won, he is simply a bad matchup for Pac. Too long and too quick for Pac. Since Pac was reckless in his attack at that point in his career, I see a real possibility of Pac getting caught coming into Mayweather. That's how I see it. All this stuff is hypothetical and shouldn't be taken personally.

Gave him another boxing lesson. Pbf beats any version of Pac he's better and more complete.

Some fighters are just tailor-made for others, Pacquaio is tailor-made for Mayweather. If you beat Pacquaio to the punch, you take the fight away from him - this is what Marquez done to him countless times, Marquez is just less impenetrable even when he doesn't beat him to the punch. In his last fight with Bradley, Timmy done it to him too - Timmy just done his usual and got greedy as ever and it resulted in knockdowns at the end of rounds he otherwise would have won. Scorecard would have been a Bradley win on my scorecard and would have resulted in a draw on the judges, IIRC.

No version of Pacquiao would have beaten Mayweather. With his natural size advantage and incredible skill set - anyone who discounts the latter isn't a boxing fan and should be ignored - Mayweather was always going to decision the little whirlwind. It would take a far bigger man to overwhelm him like people predicted Pac would IMO.

I say this as someone who used to take great excitement in Pacquiao fights. He was THE fighter to watch at one point and a fantastic talent but able to beat Mayweather? Never.

Oh and for the people who think Floyd is a ***** out of the ring, I hear ya but you shouldn't let that influence your opinion of him the boxer. I mean Manny's behaved pretty despicably over the years but that hasn't seen me try to belittle his massive accomplishments.

It's never been a good matchup for Manny. He's just too small for Floyd and that 6 inch reach disadvantage is just too much against a master boxer of Floyd's caliber. Manny has always had trouble against guys with good counterpunching ability and also guys with good footwork and head movement. Mayweather's elite in all those categories. I don't see any version of Pacman that can beat Floyd, however there are a few versions of Floyd that I think could knock out Manny.

Yeah the Pacquiao fans need to let it go. I understand you guys are happy he beat a C+ fighter in Vargas this weekend but it was never meant to be against Floyd. I'm surprised it took a couple of days for a thread to appear like this being this forum use to be pacland a couple of years ago. More proof Manny is mostly done. In fact I wonder what happened to the manny diehards like pejevan and some others I forgot.

I agree with this, Floyd has just got him covered with that reach advantage and the skillset, pretty much any time I think, for sure young Floyd does,

But Pac was a monster in 09 and 10, it would've been a great fight. Both of them should've put aside their egos and made it happen but at the end of the day I blame Floyd the most.

Easily. Pac was a destroyer back then and would have won easy.

Fluid lost to Castillo. And got knocked down by Judah even tho there was a scoring error.
