well, he'd have 1 or 2 losses to Mayweather :yep

Honestly I think Oscar fought Pac in order to try and sign him, but it didn't work- does anyone remember that huge bag of cash they gave Pac when he signed the fight  And TR quickly tried suing GBP? Just like when Oscar fought Floyd for no reason and Hopkins for no reason other than trying to do business with them.

    Oscar a G :smoke

it wouldn't be as good since he would have a loss to Floyd in 2010 Nd probably lose again to Juan even sooner

Be the same i assume. Apart from Mayweather he hasn't dodged any golden boy fighters has he?

He fought Oscar who's goldenboy, and Hatton, who is also linked with Goldonboy, and Mosley too.

So i don't think it would have changed much. His filler fights like Clottey and Margo and Bradley might have been differant.

I still think the floyd fight wouldnt have happened. Because the issues weren't to do with promotors. They couldnt agree to testing then Money split, i assume they'd be there even if manny was with goldenboy.

A loss to floyd wouldn't affect your resume to much.

Manny isn't like floyd he has plenty of losses and close fights.

Part of the reason his resume is as good as it is was because Arum fed almost his entire stable to Manny until there was no one left. He was clearly the priority of Top Rank for the past 4 years or so. That only ended because he's old now and he doesn't have too many fights left; that's why Bradley was gifted a win recently; now that's a big name, Arum will spend the next few years feeding his stable to Bradley, until eventually Bradley gets old, at which point he's set up for a fall to be replaced by a new Arum cash cow.

By contrast, Floyd Mayweather has always been the priority over at Golden Boy since Oscar retired. Had Manny joined Golden Boy years ago, he'd probably have stayed in the lower weights and fought on Mayweather undercards for years; Mayweather himself was actually a fan of Pacquiao's and attended some of his fights years ago. He was seen as a Mayweather opponent because he was tearing it up at a time when Mayweather was retired, which was probably Arum's intent anyway.

His resume wouldn't be as good simply because Golden Boy is/was built around Mayweather (at least until 2014 when he gets kicked out the door by Canelo as the new cash cow), and thus wouldn't feed him resume-building opponents quite the same way Top Rank did. He'd have been an undercard or Co-Main Event guy at Golden Boy.

Lets not forget Pac ducked Mosley (GBP in 2009) and waited to see Cotto struggle against Clottey before choosing him instead.

exactly. If Manny had fought Mosley instead, people would have said he ducked cotto who beat Mosley.

    You can't win.

I think it would have been better. Sure, he would have had a loss or two extra against Mayweather and JMM, but he also would have been given the opportunities to fight better people. Because right now he's restricted to just TR fighters; being cheated into rematches (Bradley) and convinced into pointless fights (shot Mosley). GBP, to their credit, do branch out to fighters in other stables.
