    Common opponents:
    1. Williams 1-1 v Quintana, Cotto 1-0 dominant
    2. Williams 1-0 against Margarito, competitive. Mosley and Pac were 1-0, dominant or close to it. Cotto 1-1
    3. Williams 1-0 against Winky (old), Mosley 0-2.

He'd probably lose to Pac and split with Cotto and Mosley.

Paul Williams was schooled by Quintana. He goes 0-3. Pac is a southpaw. Williams had trouble with them. Actually I think he has a good chance vs Cotto. 50/50.

He did get hit a lot, another tall dude, who lkked to mix it on the inside and was good at it. I really did enjoy watching him fight. For what it's worth, slight edge over Cotto, bigger edge over Mosley and I would have to go with Pac slightly.

Don't forget that Williams has physical advantages over Pacquiao. He's a lot taller and bigger than the latter. So, Pacquiao vs Williams should not be 65/35 IMO.

Those are such thought fights to call. I cant see cotto coping well with William's height and volume but if he could dig to the body on that tall frame he might be able to slow him down. I'd give mosley a much better chance because he's so physical in clinches and out muscles guys and works the body well too. If I had to choose I'd favour shane to win but I think Cotto would succumb to the pressure. I cant call the manny fight. There are so many variables, but William's could be totally lost dealing with mannys angles and speed - I think I'd give manny the edge if you put a gun to my head. All that being said those fights are all fights William's could have won.

Williams was pretty odd. I'd favor him to defeat them all, if you were there to be hit and didn't have enough pop to put his lights out then you were in for a very long night. Oddly enough I'd have him losing lopsided to a faded welterweight version of Whitaker.

Would agree with this, except I think he'f had beaten Shane by wide UD. Shane was lucky to be a contender at that point IMO.

Paul Williams could beat all three.
I think Williams would beat cotto who doesnt like pressure and tends to fade late.
Pac Williams would be funny to watch. An all out war in which i see Williams giving pac fits with his size and workrate. Mosley' imo has the best chance because he's bigger than all three and his style matches up the best with Williams. Who's similar to margo but faster with an even higher workrate but more awkward.

PW was pretty unique. 6'1", could make 147 lbs, hand speed, off the charts work rate (like 100+ punches per round) along with possessing some pop. But when you throw that much, you leave yourself open.

I wonder how much better he would've been if he had a coach who taught him the importance of defense and counter punching. Too bad he suffered that injury. Enjoyed watching that guy fight.

I would favor him at that time over Cotto and Mosley by a large margin. Cotto arms vs. Williams arms is just funny to think.

I would pick Pac, too legendary, but 2007-09 Williams is a danger for any WW who is below average sized so I wouldn't make him a big favorite if I were handicapping it.
