He was a diminished fighter no doubt, but was he potentially a bit underrated as he emerged from prison at the height of the 90s HW golden age?

How would that Mike do in the current HW scene?

In my opinion he was totally shot and had a manufactured career out of prison, and it was not only age, the inactivity of prison, and wear and tear, but drugs and apathy. His best win was Bruno, which is respectable, but Bruno himself has suffered multiple stoppage losses at that point. The rest is Seldon, Botha...guys of that caliber.

He would not only lose every round to Usyk, but to a handful of these guys.

To be clear, Tyson between Berbick and Spinks was an ustoppable wrecking ball.

Bruno meant more as he got the title back but Botha was probably more impressive factoring the danger he presented.

Post prison , he would have maybe some success but would not dominate the division .

The 86-88 version of him would destroy the division , i agree with catchwtboxing here.

Mid to late 90s Tyson would be a threat to any of the top guys of the last ten years outside of Usyk and a prime Fury.

Tyson was never the same fighter as soon as he chased Rooney never mind post prison years later, post prison Tyson was still the name but had no enjoyment of the sport any longer as he was basically fighting to pay debts off. As for how he would have fared that all comes down to how his opponents would react to the post prison Tysons approach with the intimidation and brute force approach at the neglect of his previous skill set and defence !

The tyson from the second bruno fight destroys everybody, nobody is going to handle mikes head movement and aggression.

Pre prison tyson is a nice matchup for usyk. But still I assume Usyk negates tyson. Great lateral footwork together with all of usyk's ring craft negates the come forward peek-a-boo style, I assume. Tyson would be turning a lot and that would stop him enough for usyk to control most of the fight. But maybe not. Would be more of a threat than anyone that is left to challenge Usyk now.

Apart from Usyk (Fury is basically retired) i think he'd do just fine.

I think he beats Dubois and faded AJ. Too early to tell with Wardley and Itauma. I think Kabayel stops him.

Bruno, Golota and Botha would be top 15 guys at minimum so Mike would definitely be in the mix.

I never considered Botha to be "dangerous"
