At the time Green fought Ward, he had one loss, was a better fighter than Bika, and had better wins than Bika did, at the time that Bika fought Clazaghe. Bika went into the Calzaghe fight with no notable wins. Green had some solid wins going into the Ward fight, compared to what Bika had.
He had wins over fellow American journeymen. Allen Green is as basic as they come and you never rated Kessler yet fawn over a guy who a shot Kessler deposed of much quicker than Ward did. Green is Wade type opposition.
No he didnt. Calzaghe was to be fighting Hopkins after Kessler. Froch was only the British champ at that time. Calzaghe had moved up from SMW, had two title fights at LHW and retired before Froch even won his first SMW title

Green in his next fight lost to a faded, end of career, boiled down Johnson, who when prime lost to Sheika to get the shot at Calzaghe. Green wasnt a win as good as Calzaghes over Sheika
Green had solid wins over ranked opponents, and other up and comers. I'm not high on Euro's like Froch and Kessler like you guys are. Very basic to me, and would be exposed if in a different era. Hell Dirrell exposed Froch. Where are all the people that like rewatching fights in slow motion. lol. I'm high on Euros, like Usyk, and Lomachenko. You guys can keep your over rated, but solid guys like Froch, and Kessler. Calzaghe was a bit over rated as well. Struggling with Robin Reid, and being dropped by some bum, while avoiding Glen Johnson.
