How would prime Calzaghe have done in THE SUPER SIX??

No it would look like the Brannon, Thornton or Sosa fights, probably last longer because johnson was tough but then again who knows Sosa supposedly had the best chin in boxing and Thomas Tate went 12 with julian Jackson and jones discarded both in 2 rounds.
But people need to understand that jones had been slowing down since around 97-99. People think I jones as a pot shot fighter but that was a jones already on a decline and with bad hands. Prime jones was a whirlwind with one punch KO power at 160-68

Calzaghe was a special fighter, maybe once in an era but roy was once in a lifetime

Yes, Joe was a special fighter. I think he could have had a greater career had he not had as many injuries, and had been more ambitious.

 

Absolutely. Just look at Roy's legs from the opening bell, he was waddling around like a duck. As if he was stuck in mud. Something was very wrong. He took a year off and regained his coordination and some of his agility but the punch resistance was gone. Still he showed unbelievable heart fighting off and pushing back tarver while out on his feet, blinking like he had sand in his eye.

Yeah and he did pretty well considering he literally couldn't afford taking a single clean shot from tarver. He had tarver badly hurt in the 5th round.
He was still very fast at that time but it wasn't the same. He still had some good performances vs ajamu and lacy he looked somewhat competent v lebedev even before he took a nap
