The only thing that would have helped Ray, was his reach?

    What?

Ray matched him for speed, but he had a much more dynamic offense at the weight.

He threw combinations that Floyd didn’t throw.

He threw every shot in the book.

He had huge one punch knockout power which Floyd didn’t possess.

Ray could only have lost this bout by playing chess with Floyd.

If he’d have fought Floyd aggressively and put Floyd under pressure, Floyd would have fought defensively. Because he wouldn’t and couldn’t have engaged Ray in a shootout. And if he’d have fought defensively, it would have negated his own offense.

Floyd’s better defence couldn’t have won him the fight.

Floyd has never seen a prime Ray Leonard in his life.

Someone who could match him for speed, skills and size, all at the same time.

Yeah I favor a prime Hearns, but SRL isn't that much bigger than Floyd so that one is hard to pick.

Not only, but Leonard's punches were something else plus he used his strength well in the clinch in both ways.

True, but then Ray had the speed, the power and the more varied offense at the weight.

Floyd didn’t have the offense at WW, that he’d had in his prime, between LWW-WW.

Floyd couldn`t throw combos however this would be a chess match and Ray used to miss too many punches and along with that would go long periods without throwing a punch which would allow Floyd to dictate.

Hearns was better than Floyd and Floyd was harder to hit than Ray so I would pick him to beat Ray, however Ray was a lot bigger and much more powerful, he would have knocked out all of Floyd`s light welter opposition, the only light welter that could have beat Ray was Pryor and maybe Manny but Manny was really small for a welter, Ray beat a light heavy by stoppage, he was naturally far bigger than Floyd.

Floyd wouldn’t have dictated anything if Ray had’ve fought him aggressively.

That would leave him wide open to Floyd`s fast counters.

What weight(s) are we talking about?

I'm going to assume 140-147 which is unfair to Floyd as he was best and basically unbeatable at 135. And everyone is in his prime.

Pernell wins a sleep inducing UD.
    Hearns Bolivianizes him.
Duran beats him up very badly and Makes Maidana smile.
    SRL wins UD.
DLH wins a close split decision.
Tito and Chavez are competitive but lose decisions.
Floyd beats Pac and Forrest at any weight.

I'm going to shock the world here and pick 140 Mosely to KO Floyd. Mosley' at 140 was quicker than Floyd, threw stronger punches.

Floyd would have backed off and covered up. He wasn’t equipped to deal with an aggressive prime Leonard.

Covered up? You mean use the shoulder roll like he did v DLH when backed onto the ropes? Not that I`m a fan of the shoulder roll though.

So Floyd gets not only gets beaten by Prime Pac but Knocked out,,,yet a prime Pac was beat and or out boxed by both smaller less skilled and talented fighters in Erick Morales and Marquez. Come on. I would how ever give Hearns a chance to do it.

I agree wholeheartedly. If there is one fighter I've personally watched/followed whom I absolutely unequivocally believe would defeat Mayweather at 147lbs, it's Sugar Ray Leonard.

Ray was lightening fast, multi-dimensional on offense, hard-hitting, an excellent boxer when so disposed, and a stone-cold killer/finisher. Floyd is more elusive/better defensively, but the disparity in offensive firepower would ultimately be decisive.

Loses once or twice, which might be better than any of the others would do against the same opponents.

Depends on the weights Floyd at 147 is his 4th division so it’s reasonable to think he could lose to some of the best ever at his 4th weight class. Which kinda shows Floyd greatness as much as ppl deny it. Can’t match him vs the best 130 or 135 or 140 ever it’s always guys who finished they career at 175 like hearns. Saying that tho the only one I would favor conclusively is Hearns purely due to size the rest I could see him winning to varying degrees of difficulty with Parnell likely being the hardest
