GGG, Ward, Kovalev, Stevenson and prime haye

Personally I'd say the only person who would almost have a sure fire win is Kovalev given his size, power and style. Thoughts?

GGG.Kovalev,Stevenson and Haye all beat him by brutal KO.

Ward wins an 10-2 type decision but with Jones terrible glass jaw i wouldnt rule a KO for Ward.

Prime RJJ wouldn't get past modern day drugtesting.

Just like the young Hopkins did right? Ward has the least chance out of all of them followed by Stevenson, ggg then haye.

Honestly, outboxing him would be a tough task and probably is not the way to beat him.

Stevenson: I think his powerful left hand would easily be enough to get the ko, but it's all he really has. Likely rjj would be able to avoid it and beat him to the punch all night.

Ggg: while he has strong fundamentals, power in both hands up and down, he isn't the quickest guy, not to mention he isn't the most defensively sound fighter. Jones likely takes advantage of this and overwhelms ggg with speed and power. If the fight made it though 10 I'd be amazed. He would likely get tattooed all night, but I think he would have a better chance of landing a big shot and getting the ko which is why I think he has a better chance of winning than Stevenson.

Haye: tough fight for jones and honestly the more I think about it the more I think it's 50/50. The combo of Hayes power and speed is very dangerous, but what happens if he becomes inactive?

Kovalev: nightmare for rjj. I honestly don't see how he'd win or even last past round 8. The only chance is if rjj lands a huge shot early and kov turtles up and becomes apprehensive.

They do, not all of them though.
But you can't use that s__t he used back then and get away with it now. So he wouldn't be the same "prime Roy" anymore if he used other current harder to detect stuff.

^This exactly. Jones beat John Ruiz at heavyweight but Haye has alot more physical talent than Ruiz ever had. But yeah, Jones easily beats the rest of them.

One could argue modern day drugs are stronger and that there are more methods to trick the tests. Peds are available and likely used by all the top athletes. It takes a very naive individual to think otherwise. there may be exceptions to the rule, but if a gun were to my head and I were asked to guess if a top athlete were on peds or not, I'd guess they were.

But this isn't the topic at hand. I'll move on.

Possible outcomes for the first two that's for sure. Just think it's more likely that he beats ggg pretty badly. Out of the bunch I think he is the most likely to take a massive beating, although as stated before he still has a better chance of winning than Stevenson.

Kovalev hits hard, yes, but there is still a tremendous gap in physical talent between the two. Jones was extremely elusive in his prime and never showed a real chin problem until Tarver ruined it. Jones had more skill than Kovalev and the difference in speed would've been a real problem for Kovalev, who has been on the deck himself as a pro.

He did have much more speed and the element of awkwardness. Interesting style matchup for both, but again I'd favor the Russian. I just think his style and attitude are bad news for someone like Roy. Long and powerful fighter with enough speed and ability to cause issues.

Jones didn't have skill he had athleticism. Two totally different things. Jones also had a Glass Jaw which against a guy like Kovalev is suicide.
