No, no, he couldn't have been. This is something pulled out of far too many an anus on here and I really wish it would stop. He got numerous opportunities and he failed because he was simply never made of the stuff greats are made of. No, no he wasn't and no, no he couldn't. Historically, a B-level big name fighter, yes. Yes, he is/was that. He had some elite qualities but they were balanced out by his lesser ones and the total package was absolutely nothing that could've been one of the best of this sport. :bart No, sir. I reject your theory.
you can reject it all you like. the truth is that judah was (imo) the most naturally gifted fighter since roy jones. but being naturally gifted doesn't mean you get the rest on a plate if you don't align your other qualities. try to imagine tyson after d'amato died and that's judah. but if judah was given more mature guidance and perhaps a grounded childhood (i don't know his upbringing), then he could have been genuinely great. it isn't a card game, you don't automatically become great in any sport if you don't possess maturity, discipline and character - among other things - to mould you into that champion.
No. Absolutely not. Tyson! atsch But I do accept the truth that your opinion exits. Even if I find it flat out absurd. But, agree to disagree, I suppose. He had plenty of guidance and grooming and hype his way. He just didn't have what it took to live up to it and the actual reality of what happened backs that up. :deal If anything, it's actually unfair to this poor ******* that people act like he threw away SRR-level material when he never ****ing had it to begin with! By the way, are you Max Kellerman?
guidance and grooming don't compensate for a lack of maturity and character and they never will. be specific about what you found absurd?
Not being able to develop mentally-which includes maturity/character is part of what makes the best fighters. Agree? You've stated that he could've been one of the very best, but yet you understand that he didn't have those things which are required, as you've just mentioned them. However, you're implying that he could've acquired them, and then would've been one of the best ever. I find this line of thinking to be utterly wank. Sorry. And what is so physically special about Zab, as a total package? I thought he had elite handspeed, and excellent reflexes, at one time, and very good but not truly great power. I also think he had a very average (for top fighters) chin and lacking stamina (for top fighters). Frankly, it doesn't seem near enough to make up for a cripplingly poor brain, nor does it make me fantasize about what he could do if he weren't an easily undone moron (for truly top notch fighters, I mean, of course, nahmsayin?). So, that he was the most physically gifted fighter since RJJ...just plain absurd, from my viewpoint. Also, hell, post D'Amato Tyson>best Zab. Without hesitation. What is all of this what-if **** when it comes to the super pooper? What if my aunt had balls? She'd be my uncle. What if Zab could stay focused and had a great childhood and an ATG trainer and uh...great stamina and a great chin, and wasn't a mong and was 5'10 and related to Kim Jong-Il and had his own star on the walk of fame and Tony Robbins, and he could count to eleven without using all his fingers and a toe, yada, yada, yada, then he'd be one of the very best. Okay, I'll admit, if he were much, much, much, much better he could have been one of the very best. And if pigs were much lighter and had wings, they could have been flyers.
You said if he had a more grounded childhood he couldve done better then admitted you know nothing about his childhood. Ridiculous.
