I don't see him being a Fury or AJ and supplanting Wlad, but maybe a Povetkin like career at just the level below? I'm sure he had a good life as a national hero and cop in Italy and didn't need to test himself in the pros, but it's too bad as fans we won't get to know how top amateurs like this would have turned out as pros.
So so IMO. I never saw him turn in an especially devastating performance as an amateur that would have suggested he would be a force in ths paid ranks.
To be honest I don't find Joshua, Klitschko, Povetkin or Wilder to be impressive in amateur footage, however, Solis was extremely impressive as an amateur and we now how that turned out.
Cammarelle was solid, good chin, good technique and power, he wasn't the fastest guy but he could fight, the promotional aspect has a lot of weight in becoming a top pro as well and he was from Italy a country without pro boxers at the top level but I think that he could have been as good as Povetkin, or similar to Chagaev or Sultan, a step or two behind the elite, Russo his countryman was one that would have made an lnteresting pro, he was an athletic guy and explosive fighter.
