If he managed to get the win over Joey Maxim for the light heavyweight title and is subsequently starched brutally by Archie Moore? Is he rated higher for winning the championship? Does his chin rating take a hit with footage of him cross eyed on the canvas?

I heard that Moore vs Robinson got close to being made a few times, but Sugar always seemed a little hesitant. I think if he was the champ of Moore’s division he’d have run out of reasons not to and the money would’ve been too good (which seemed to be the most important part for Robinson).

I don't think that anybody of sound mind and judgment would question his chin.

Roberto Duran's chin doesn't get questioned despite being starched by Hearns, due to his LW greatness and feats achieved moving up weight divisions, besting Leonard in Montreal, seeing final bell with Hagler and beating Barkley. Likewise, who would question SRR's chin after coming up from LW, to being the greatest WW fighter, to capturing the MW and LHW title to get knocked out by the greatest KO artist of all time on paper. For me, his stock would rise even higher for daring to be greater.
