I think mentally he may run into some problems and of course there's the drugs, but they are intangibles

High level ground and pound wrestlers with limited stand up are doing quite well in this day and age I seem to recall

In all reality what's changed? Nothing much. Mark at that time was seen as the evolution of MMA. No heavy of his time boasted his unique blend of skills (drugs or otherwise). Based on his talent alone he'd easily be a wrecking ball in this current UFC with a rule set that favours grapplers. Mark also had excellent take down technique. Since this sports inception iv never seen any grappler bar Fedor who has literally rag dolled his opponents.
