Class is considerably more important than size here. Either Klitschko could beat Louis on a given night, but it's not likely. Wlad goes in the first half of the fight, Vitali catches a bad beating over the long haul.

In boxing, for every year the fighter has been retired, his chance of winning a fantasy fight goes up a certain %..... so based on that irrefutable evidence, I think the most logical and honest answer has to be....

Joe Louis KO's Wlad with his first punch thrown (landed or not, dont think that really matters)

    and

Louis KO's Vitali about 1 minute into the first round.

Only logical conclusion.... every boxing fan knows this too.

Lets face the facts. The facts are:
boxing had some HUGE changes in last 50 years. Gloves got bigger, fights got shorter, knockout rate didn’t drop though. Why is that? Maybe because athletic training made major improvement? Maybe because heavyweights got much bigger and punch harder due to different training. 12 rounds is BIG difference to 15. It allows fighters to give more in shorter time then fighters of the past because they don’t have to think about 3 extra rounds.
Boxing also improved in part of technical and tactical department. Yes, Louis was ahead of his time but still it was very different sport back then. You can say that he easily beat Carnera but no one in his right mind will say that Carnera even half as good as either brother. Think for yourself but it is unfair to Louis to pit him against fighters who basically participate in different sport.

JL's style was that of a plodder. He would need to attack non stop and get inside to do damage. He didn't figtht that way. Plus the size differencial would be way too much. Unlike Canera, the Klits use their physical attributes far better than most heavies throught out history. Louis would be stopped within 5.

Well this clearly backfires on you because yes I pick Louis to beat both Lewis and Foreman. Good logic:good.

    And Louis beats both Klits.

Damn this guy's comments get on my nerves lately.. I don't even fancy pointing out the obvious stupidity of this post.

I really wish we could actually see Klitschko facing Louis or Ali so I could post some "" with satisfaction and watch them senti-mentalists go into hiding.
