They are totally dominant there at the moment but how would they do with the stiffest comp?

    Cruiserweight - Erislandy Savon

Top 3 - This guy is an immense talent, I don't watch much of this barren division but I can easily see him beating Huck. Probably more talented than Usyk too.

Light Heavyweight - Julio Cesar La Cruz

Top 3 - Would contest the division with Kovalev, Stevenson and Beterbiev. Great boxer, maybe better than all the pros.

    Welterweight - Roniel Igliesias

Top 15- Very good boxer, but a stacked division.

    Lightweight - Lazaro Alvarez

Top 2 - Crawford only one I'd favour over him, with pro experience he would reach that level

    Super Bantamweight - Robeisy Ramirez

Top 2 - Amazing talent, probably best of the bunch talent wise. Him and Rigondeaux should be engaging in a storied rivalry if they wasn't separated by boxing codes.

    Flyweight - Yosvany Veita

Top 2 - Veita and Inoue would be special!

    Am/pro weight classes are different.

Welterweight in one is light middleweight in the other...

They wouldn't all be what they are in the amateur tourneys or in WSB.

Cubans would dominate if they were to turn pro!

Think of all the talented boxers they have who can't even make these teams.

:!:That's the main reason they all fight that way they must have a congenital defect in Cuba, they have soft mandibles Castro should really look into that.:yep

Savon if fairly similar to YPH tall with good boxing skills and power but slightly frail with a vulnerable chin. Huck, Lebedev, Makabu, Usyk, Kudryashov, Ola, Kalenga, Kucher would all present issues.

Thought Savon was a bit of c*nt in this recent fight. His opponent was totally outgunned and taking a beating. He courageously kept plugging away even though he stood no chance. I didn't like the way Savon was taunting him and showboating. There's no need for that when your opponent is so hopelessly over-matched and outgunned, especially given the bravery he was showing despite that. Great finish from Savon though he's a quality operator and he packs a big wallop.

because there have been so many GREAT pros when they do defect and come over. Hurtado? Jorge Luis Gonzalez?
    Umberto Savigne
    Yudel Jhonson
    Yordanis Despaigne

    or how about the "dominating"
    Odlanier Solis
    and Gamboa?

truth is, its such a bad cliche to say these amateurs would come over and dominate. The ones lately come over here and get fat and lazy.
the do well in the amateurs because there isnt anything else to do over there but train and they become grown men fighting boys

No they wouldn't dominate history has shown the opposite that they get knocked out or eat themselves out of their division because they have zero discipline. None.

I know he is but he was out of his depth and taking a nasty beating. You could see it was only a matter of time before he got brutally stopped. His corner should've pulled him out earlier really as he'd been dropped at least once (can't remember if it was more) and hurt numerous times too.

Oh, Savon is definitely quality. He's the goods. He was robbed against Joshua no doubt.

Who's the one who lost the other day? He got dropped too, think it was by a Russian.
