How would the Klitschko's fair against ex world champs and former greats?

Would Louis, Ali, liston, frazier and people from that era be big enough to get near the Klitschko's? Also I honestly believe either brother would be match for any heavyweight in the history of boxing. If they were American they'd be on peoples top 10 list as All Time Greats. I also believe that the heavyweight division has more talent than its ever had its just that most of the talent is eastern European and not African American which it used to be.

  4. Vitali would beat any HW in history.

    I think it'd take a T-Rex to stop him.

I'm probably going to get raped for this but I think, possibly Louis aside, the pre Liston champs would have been too small to beat the Klitschos.

I'd just about go with that.

Also to the OP, I don't think the brothers are really 'talented', they are good, very good. But talented is not the word I would use. Quite happy to listen if anyone could prove me wrong.

What annoys me is that people constantly refer to them as the Klitschko's, when in reality they both have strengths and weaknesses. We should judge both men on their resume, skillset, etc.

Coming on to Gaz's point, Patterson is blown away, as is Johannesson.

Jack Johnson wouldnt have great success on the inside against such large men (Wlad would spoil all night IMO).

Jeffries and Sullivan, while both hit very hard, and while both were very durable, we're never hit by anyone with the brothers' weight advantage (and with limited footage it is hard for us to gauge with a degree of accuracy).

Dempsey and Marciano could perhaps fight their way inside, and certainly trouble Wlad with their power. Both, of course, may well be knocked out. These would be interesting fights.

Jersey Joe Walcott, IMO, could time their jabs, and with his great movement, could easily avoid their bombs. I would pick him to outland, and thus outpoint, either of them.

Pre-Liston Dempsey and Johnson give problems particularly Johnson because of his infighting skills.

Carnera v Wlad would be worth a watch.

I'd favour Johnson over every heavyweight who was in and around his size. But Wlad and Vitali would simply be too big to be out muscled by the much larger brothers. Wlad in particular would spoil him all night IMO

Id fancy Ali, Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Holmes, Ali, Foreman, Louis, Liston and Walcott to beat them both.

I don't see Wlad being able to just grab Johnson and lean on him. Johnson being so slick he had the skills to shift a bigger man around and keep him off balance.

Johnson loses a straight wrestling match but I see him having enough in his infighting game to mess up Wlad's leaning down tactics.
