Wilder and Whyte was supposed to fight over the wbc title but it never happened due to wilder playing a side games and Whyte never got his wbc title challenge until he faced Fury in 22, funnily enough despite his ducking I think deontay actually has a like 60/40 maybe even 70/30 percent chance of winning this fight Whyte was and is very hittable and he would be the type to walk onto something in like round 8. How do yall see the fight going.

It would have played out similar to the Washington fight

Whyte's very hittable, and could certainly be beaten, but he was better proven than anyone Wilder ever beat..
... And more proven than Wilder himself.

He didn't have anywhere near the skill or tactical nous of Fury or Parker to deliberately shut him down - but he'd have put Wilder on the back foot and had way more power than Wilder's questionable jaw would've stood.

Far from impossible that Wilder would've been able to evade and throw something - whether it would've been anywhere near full power or not - but I'd have to trust the more proven fighter.

    60/40 Whyte.

Both fighters pretty limited, but one moreso than the other.

Getting beaten pillar to post by Fury, who was never particularly powerful (even in his "kronk" style) suggests otherwise...

And there's not really much contrary evidence either - he should've been stopped by Ortiz (and would've been if not for intervention), and his other opponents before Fury weren't exactly killers either.

His durability may well have been a bit of a mirage in part because he was fighting overwhelmingly guys who shouldn't have been any threat - and avoided guys who might've been.

In 2018/2019? I could see a similar fight to either the first or the second Ortiz fight where Whyte might get at least a bit better of the action in a somewhat cagey fight but Wilder would find the target and KO Whyte at some-point soon enough.

If it happened now? Whoever lands first would go down as they're both clearly shot to bits.
