The Duke would go down. I dont think he could take the pressure that Tua would pose and Tua was no slow poke like Foreman so I think Tua eventually catches him and stops him midfight
Pretty much my prediction for Galento vs. Bert Cooper...to beat that dead horse...:blood Two brawlers, one can dish it out and take it..the other can't. Do the math. This is an easy one to figure out. But you never know..maybe Tua gives a non effort like Rahman II and a horrified Duke runs and jabs his way to victory as the crowd rains in boos.
1993 Tommy "Time-Traveller" Morrison who ran - erm danced his way to a decision VS Old Foreman does teh same thing to past-primer "Turtle" Tua of 2000-2011. But PRIME "Terrifying" Tua of 1996-1999 DESTROYS Morrison in 1 or 2 Rounds by haymaker from hell. :hi: Foreman Hooooooooooooooooooooooook!:smoke
If Morrison come out brawling, he gets whacked quickly by Tua... If Morrison seeks to box and use all the ring, he gets clocked and stopped late... We're talking like a 1992 / '93 Morrison against a 1997 to 1999 Tua... Tua by KO... MR.BILL
I think Tommy gets off to a nice start, but as he often did, Tua would overcome a poor start and stop Morrison after a few rounds.
Think its time to revive that dead horse like a phoenix rising from the ashes. It certainly is easy to figure out... When comparing "Tua vs Morrison". Not necessarily cooper vs Galento. I'll accept that as a possibility.
Mercer is a sucker for the left hook but Tua can't be bothered to work his away around the jab enough to land it with any type of meaningful consistentcy. Mercer piles on points while Tua banks all his marbles on a late knockout that won't come.
If you are of the opinion that Cooper was more durable than Galento, than there's lots of things you won't have an easy time figuring out.
i can certainly figure out that Galento fought very few punchers on the level of the men who stopped a "prime" cooper, and the few who he did fight managed to stop him as well... So frankly I don't see the separation point.
Tua would have to change his style and box...and he would have to be in great shape....if he was in great great great shape he would stand a chance..but i think at somepoint he is a bit too still..gets caught, and gets knocked out right away or hurt bad and knocked out. Best Morrison vs best tua i have to go with TUA by 8th round ko or tko..however, Morrison may well be up on the score cards at the time.
