    Now I love the 90 s 'heavyweight s scene.
Lots of characters around, some great and very good fights.
But just such a colourful era really.
So lyo, if Fury had being hitting the era around the same time as Bowe - Lewis.. What's happening?

They'd probably all still somehow manage to avoid meeting each other at their peaks/ or when they should have done , which is what stopped a good decade being a great one.
A bit like Fury should have fought Joshua 3 or 4 years ago .

Yes there were unfortunately a lot of missed fights in the time.
If Fury wanted to get on seriously he'd have had to crash in to Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield at some point, or become a Get lucky alphabet holder like Bruce Seldon..

Fury has been down 8 times in his career and has only been in the ring with 3 fighters ranked in the top 10.

A gunshy Wladimir aged 40, Dillian Whyte who had already been brutally KO'ed twice once from an ancient Povetkin, and Wilder who he barely scrapped by in two of their meetings getting dropped 4 times.

Let's put it this way Fury would certainly have more losses that's for sure.

Loses to Evander, Bowe, Lewis, McCall... If he chose to fight highly ranked fighters, he'd have our respect, but he'd also have tons of losses.

He loses to Holyfield, Bowe and Lennox for sure IMO. He’d be advised to stay away from Witherspoon as most in the 90’s did. He’d pick up some wins and maybe a paper title if he aligned with the right promoter. He’s surly good enough to beat a Seldon or a Ruiz. He’d be in the mix but with how stacked that Era was he’s not beating the top guys when they’re at their best. Now once they all started to blow hot and cold maybe he can beat a few of them. It’s super interesting to hypothetically picture him against Old Foreman, Moorer and many others.

One of the most interesting of the possible fights for 90 s Fury imo.

I genuinely think he has a shot against anyone at his peak, I just don't think that would be the average Tyson Fury we'd be seeing though.

I disagree. Bowe is too much a terrific finisher.. and that fight would not go the distance, it seems to me.

Imagine a time machine scenario where guys like Lewis and Bowe have future knowledge of him being more or less a joke and a blueprint schemed out, the funny thing is a lot of Fury bois like to say "this Fury" as an excuse/as if there was some invincible version, which Lewis and Bowe were also known to have somewhat horribly off nights, so then it sort of comes down to if Steward or Futch could get the job done, which I would have to say yes, but there's also the chance it could just be a complete sh*t fight lol

He’d be a top contender and perhaps even a world belt holder at some point. Would he have dominated the picture ? Not likely
