I feel bad for Provo because if he wasn't Russian he'd be 26-0 and a two-weight world champ.

 

It's debatable between GGG and Kov right now. GGG might have more talent than Kov, but Kov is by far the more proven of the two right now. Loma is very good, but after only 3 fights, he's not yet as good as Kov, and GGG. And as for Provo, he's SEVERAL levels below the other 3.

Ranked so far as professional boxers.

Kovalev, Golovkin, Lomochenko, Provodnikov.

Lomochenko had problems with Salido. Golovkin had problems with Ouma. Provodnikov just isn't that good. Kovalev actually has a signature win. Something the other guys don't. Kovalev's best four wins, are better than Golovkin's best four simply because Golovkin has been fighting mostly stiffs, and the middleweight division is the weakest its been in years.

All talented. And you know full well half of 'em ain't Russian despite their shared Soviet heritage. Hmm.. let's see.

Provos gotta go at the bottom talentwise, for all that he's a great fighter with a ton of heart he's the one closest to the 'face forward brawler' stereotype.

Loma's outstanding amateur pedigree and glaring talent makes you want to put him at the top but he just hasn't got the professional experience and credentials ... yet.

Kovalev and GGG? Tough as hell call. I've always held the opinion that overall GGGs the more well rounded and technically proficient of the two, but it's hard to now argue that Kovalev isn't the more proven.

I guess maybe for now Kovalev on top, but I'll also say that Kovalev will lose before Golovkin does (if partly because of the s#itload of talent coming up through the LHW division).
