Usyk wins a decision, no rematch!
He didn't really walk through his shots since he was moving back on all of them and loose enough to ride the punch. Usyk, who's even lighter on his feet than Fury, would do the same, which is why I'm not at all worried about Wilder landing his 'one punch' on him. He'll need to catch Usyk coming stupidly forward or catch him when he's completely flat footed and unprepared to roll with the shot, both of which scenarios seem highly improbable to me. That's what a lot of the pro-Wilder brigade don't seem to understand here. Wilder needs fighters to be flat footed and stationary to land his shots on. Fighters that move around a lot reduce his effectiveness massively. Hence why we've hardly seen any opponents of that style on his resume.
Any of those smaller dudes from Wlad's era would have wreaked havoc on Wilder. Byrd, Ibragimov, Chagaev et al would have been a nightmare for him. I'd have given him a chance against Chambers due to Chambers's penchant for standing in the wheelhouse of his opponents , but if Wlad found it difficult to land his money shot on him I doubt Wilder finds it any easier. Usyk of course would absolutely befuddle him. He'd make Wilder tentatively back up reacting to every feint, dip, step in that Usyk would be doing, catch him then dance away as Wilder swings wildly at air. Wilder would find himself getting peppered from all angles and looking increasingly sorry for himself, with that wide-eyed look of fear in his eyes, and his face getting bruised up by every low-power but pinpoint shot Usyk lands on his grill and which he can't see coming and can't brace for. He'll be game enough not to quit, but inside he'll be broken, and that's when Usyk will start to turn up the pressure and unload the six and seven punch combos on him, forcing him to desperately clinch in an effort to get mental and physical breathing room. I think he makes it to the final bell, not that that's any benefit to him, because by that point Usyk would be in total control. Fight goes to scorecards and not even the corrupt judges Wilder's team will ensure are in place for this one can justify giving it to Wilder.
Let's wait and see how he does against a HW in the top 20 first. But in general I'd give stand up fighters less of a chance than I would for those who come in low. I'd make Ruiz a favourite against Wilder, for example.
