wlad the much more skilled, faster hands and faster legs but valuev is so darn effective with his bigger frame and i think is a little stronger,

wlad im sure if favored but valuev is pretty real too as shown in his fights with sergei and barrett.

i think valuev floors and forces wlad to out box valuev and win a very close decision.

Valuev throws and seems to have a solid chin (Ibragimov seems to have a solid one as well BTW). Wlad looked scared to get hit tonight, and it makes me cautious to pick a winner here. Used to be I said Klitscho by UD easily. But I am not sure he could jab his way to victory if he is afraid to get in range.

I think Vlad would knock Valuev out. Valuev doesn't have the awkwardness of Ibragimov...he'd be more of a big, open, inviting target for Vlad's punches.

Agreed. Valuev is Don King's cash cow at heavyweight now. There's no way King will risk his investment by pitting Valuev against Vlad.

This is actually the best matchup out there now for Wlad. There will be some interest there based off the size alone.

Wlad handles big fighters well, ala McCline and Austin. Valuev would be right there in his wheelhouse for the right hand, which he would throw more than against Sultan.

Wlad would most likely knockout Valuev in 7 or 8 rounds.

King said in an interview if Peter wins and Valuev beats Chagaev he would let them to unify against eachother. I doubt he'll put Valuev in there with Wlad. I think it would be an interesting fight because Wlad would have to advance Valuev, and he seemed hesitant to engage with Sultan.

Wlad would destroy Valuev. All he is is a big ass target and Wlad would land his jab at will followed by the steel hammer! I don't care how good Valuevs chin is he's not taking many straight rights by Wlad.

Even with one loss on his record, Valuev is still King's biggest money maker at heavyweight. King is a very slick marketer and promoter, so he is certain to make much more money from Valuev in the future.

King will not want to lose all of that by throwing Valuev in with Vlad.

Vlad and his people, by contrast, are very eager to fight Valuev, because they know Vlad has all the advantages in the ring.

I've been watching King operate for decades. He'll set up two separate heavyweight divisions if that's what it takes to keep his fighter away from Vlad.

I don't see this fight ever happening after tonight. Wlad must keep his size advatage. If he fights the overrated Valuev, he gives up that size advantage and will have a harder time fighting Manny's Steward's stamina conserving type of fight.

He'd have to open up against Valuev too much. Stamina would become a factor.

It's not awkward enough that Valuev is 7ft 320lbs with unmatched arm reach? This fight would be more difficult for Wlad than most think because Wlad's mighty jab wouldn't be as affective against a taller, longer opponent. Wlad would have to work to get inside, which he has never had to do. Wlad is very profficient at keeping his opponents from getting inside and breaking them down from afar, but how will he perform when the roles are reversed. I think Wlad's boxing skill vs. Valuev's chin and size (and improving skill) will take the fight the distance, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Valuev take this by UD.
