dont think valuev could do much... again it would be a pretty boring fight and with these boxing fans that you see today they would probably commit suicide before the 12th round.
I think Vlad would have an easy time with Valuev. Valuev would be easy to hit, so Vlad could open up with his heavy artillery. Valuev doesn't have the athleticism or skill to fight with Vlad, and he doesn't have serious power either. Vlad would probably blast away at an opponent like this. Remember: Sultan is awkward and dangerous. That's why Vlad didn't see any point in gunning for a knockout when an easy decision was in reach.
Even though Valuev is taller and has a longer reach, I don't think he has the speed, skill or athleticism to handle Vlad from the outside. I believe at long range, Vlad would have any easy time landing his right hand against Valuev. If anything, Vlad's size and height might be a problem for Valuev, because Valuev is used to fighting shortish, crab-like opponents such as Chagaev, Lyakhovich, and Ruiz. McCline was the only really big guy that Valuev fought, and McCline was doing well until he broke his knee. Remember how easily McCline could hit Valuev?
I agree...that is how I see Vlad-Valuev turning out. I like Valuev, but I just can't see him beating Klitschko. Stylistically Vlad is all wrong for him. Another fight that comes to mind is the Valuev-Donald fight. At 6'4", Donald is one of the taller guys Valuev has fought, and Donald had an easy time scoring with his long left jab. I think Vlad's left jab would hit Nikolai just as easily, only with far more power.
How would Valuev vs Wlad turn out? Well,I guess that their fight would be more exciting and entertainng than Wlad's encounter with Sultan yesterday night. Wlad has the edge in firepower, but Valuev has a pretty good chin.Could go the distance as well. However, cant really see Valuev winning this fight neither by ko nor by point decision. In terms of skills Wlad plays in a different league.
the guy at this stage is reluctant to throw the right hand for fear of getting countered, this safety first way of fighting will have his ass on the canvas against a heavy who can punch a little.hes the best in a really bad era,ali would've toyed with him then ko'd him in the later rds
Wladimir wins hands down but it can be even more boring than yesterday's night and that has nothing to do with size - Riddick Bowe and Jorge Luis Gonzales and Lewis and Vitaly were entertaining and were the heaviest fights in boxing history. Valuev and Wlad's styles just don't match - it would be a jabbing contest with Wlad looking for rights counters and left hooks, just scoring blows and on the move.
If Valuev wins the title, and then unifies with the other belt...We probably won't be seeing Wlad, but Vitali! I can see since Wlad has 2 belts he's going to let his bro have the other 2, and if Valuev is the one holding them.... I think that'd be a good fight with Vitali beating him of course. Wlad and Valuev would be an alright fight IMO with Wlad probably winning. I think it'd be interesting just to see how he'd get on the inside, and do.
Valuev is improve alot. He use his jab very well and jabbing contest might be dangerous game to Wladimir (cut or wounds). But Valuev is so much slower than wlad and that's why he can use his left hook again efficiently. Wlad will KO him by left hook..
Wlad may actually be the only active heavyweight capable of a KO against Valuev...if he throws enough right hands in the fight.....
Valuev has a the jab, height, chin, and aggression that would make Klitchko fight and last night showed that Klitchko really needs a fighter like that to make him more marketable
