You're thinking of Charr against that cruiserweight.

And why did Wlad say Wilder needed to defend his belt...because Finkel said they didn't want to unify.

Wilder Will Not Be Rushed To Klitschko, Says Finkel

    By Edward Chaykovsky

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is still very much a work in progress, says his co-manager Shelly Finkel. After last Saturday's world title win over Bermane Stiverne, the hype began growing for a fight between Wilder and WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Finkel, who manages Wilder with Al Haymon and Jay Deas, also works closely with Klitschko.

He says there is no need to rush Wilder into big fights against the best of the division; that despite a world title he still needs time to grow and groom his skills.

“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”

One fight that could happen this year is a match against unbeaten EBU/British champion Tyson Fury.

A repeat of the Pulev fight. Maybe even a round or two earlier.

Finkel just took to a podium and said Joshua is ducking Wilder. Is that true because Finkel said it ?

I've seen it. But I'm supposed to believe Andy Lee, Ola Afolabi and Deontay Wilder sparred with Wlad and of the three Wilder got floored a bunch of times? Then they made him a cake and sent him on his way?

Yeah. That's why people decide to fight everyone other than Wilder first. Because he's such a pushover that Andy Lee has a better chin.

    What a crock.

Does anyone here think Wilder loses to the Wlad who Tyson Fury beat? Because if they were ever going to fight that's when it would have happened.

If Finkel offered Joshua a record payday and Joshua turns it down then yes. But that clearly isn't the case, they haven't made any offer. As you have clearly pointed out simply saying something doesn't make it true but if actions also support that statement then logically the original declaration is true.

Finkel said they didn't want to unify and they did nothing to try to unify so clearly what Finkel said was true.

?? You asked for more evidence than Wlad’s cook. I provided it. If you choose to be cognitive dissident that’s on you. I’ll take the word of Chef, Johnny Nelson and Andy Lee. Just to name a few. And the birthday cake as exhibit A . Lol

Wlad had previously tried to challenge Stiverne but made no effort anymore after Wilder took hold of the wbc belt. Fury was the mandatory but Wlad could have got a pass if an undisputed fight was on the line.

Exactly. Wilder and Finkel weren't calling the shots.

Wlad Klitschko stated he was going to fight Fury first so he wouldn't get stripped of the WBO belt.

Wlad wanted all the belts and didn't want to lose the belts he already had.

So Wlad fought Fury and lost and all those belts got lifted off Fury by the orgs

Just repeating what Wlad himself said.

“I just got the news that it was my free title defense against Bryant Jennings and now I have to go back to being obligated to defend my titles,” said Klitschko, who defeated Philadelphia’s Jennings (19-1, 10 KOs) by unanimous decision (116-111, 116-111, 118-109). “I have mandatories. I don’t know who is exactly in the line, [which] one of the federations it would be. But the way it looks, Tyson Fury is going to be my next challenger.”

“It’s a good European fight. As the champion of the world, you travel and fight different places. I know that he’s also the [WBO] mandatory [challenger]. Obviously that’s something that I hope that I have to do, to defend my title, the [WBO] title at least. And then with Fury fighting [me] in Germany or in Great Britain, that’s something that we have to figure out. Where the location of the fight is going to happen, I don’t know yet. But that’s what we need to work on in the next weeks and days.”

“That’s true – one belt is missing,” Klitschko said. “It was in the Klitschko family, but I never owned the WBC championship. Such a unification fight against Wilder would be fantastic. It’s not going to happen in the next fight of mine, because I think Deontay needs to defend his title [for] the first time. After he [wins] it, then probably such a fight can happen sometime in the beginning of next year.”

Wlad filmed everything in that camp with multiple cameras so he could produce his slick training camp videos. But there is no film of any knockdowns of Wilder. (The cameramen must've all been eating cake at that moment.)

I'll take a video of Wilder going down over rumors being spread by sparring partners or the champ's cook.

Over the past four or five years, we've seen Wilder get bashed around by any number of people. And I'd take all of them to drop freaking Andy Lee. But none of them dropped Wilder.

I’ve met Andy Lee he is a good guy I sincerely doubt he would make the info up. To each his own you don’t have to believe the testimony. You asked for more than the cook and I provided two sources all I can do. Cheers

I've met Andy Lee, too. I shot video of him. He is a nice guy.

And I don't think he can take a punch better than Wilder. Do you?

How many times did Wlad knock Andy down?

Ola Afolabi seems like a nice guy, too. How many times did Wlad drop him?

But Wilder was getting bounced around the ring?

    Whatever man.
