I'm not talking about that... Klitchko announced he would be fighting Jennings in June 2015, a few days after Wilder became champion in the U.S to attract his profile in a Wilder showdown... Wilder was supposed to fight Jennings but his team didn't want him way back as 2012. After Duhaupas they decided to fight Spzilka a guy who Jennings already defeated . Fury became mandatory and Klitchko had until May 31st to sighn a deal. Wilders team was not even allowing guys remotely on Klitchko level near him in 2015/2016...... Wilder had an opportunity to unify with Klitchko when the Fury rematch was cancelled...that was Wlads goal the WBC belt....that's why he fought Jennings in N.Y BC it would have brought much wider audience....that's what Joshua will possibly do now with Miller. The way you guys are trying to finagle that Wilder is the most avoided HW is.....
What on earth are you talking about? How did Wilder have the opportunity to unify with Wlad when the Fury rematch was cancelled? Wlad DIDN'T HAVE ANY BELTS. He'd lost them all to Fury. Also, Klitschko announced after he fought Jennings he was going to fight FURY NEXT. I just posted the quote. And he did fight Fury next, or the WBO was going to strip him. He had to fight his mandatory. Wilder and Wlad would've unified in 2016 if Wlad and successfully defended his titles against Fury. But he didn't. And all the belts Wlad had were scattered.
You left out that Wilder offered Povetkin a title shot after Wilder fought Molina, but Povetkin said he needed a tuneup first. (So Povetkin fought Wach and Wilder fought Duhaupas). And you left out that Wilder offered Povetkin a title shot after Duhaupas, but Povetkin said he wouldn't be ready in the spring. He needed more time. (So Wilder fought Szpilka to kill time before he fought Povetkin in May.) Then Povetkin failed a drug test and the May fight was cancelled. I know why you left that all out. Because it just sounds more negative if you say Wilder fought Duhaupas and Spzilka and leave out the fact that Povetkin was offered a fight with Wilder in 2015, in early 2016 and again in May 2016, and Povetkin figured out a way to get out of all of them. NOW I GUESS YOU'RE SAYING Wilder could've "unified" with a title-less Wlad during this period, although I have no idea how. Talk about rewriting history.
He had the SAME time as Joshua did yet made no effort... You know what he did? He fought or attempted to fight a guy named Wawrzyk before the Klitchko vs Joshua even took place.... The Fury mandatory has nothing to do with why he was fighting Jennings as it was enforced after the fact. What does Wlad not having belts have to do with not fighting him? it was still popular belief he was the best HW and was favored STILL going into the rematch. Wlad Klitchko > Gerald Washington.
Povetkin became Wilders mandatory in May 2015. Wilder didn't offer anything BC he had to fight him. The fight was cancelled on May 14th 2016...what does that have to do with anything I posted? What do you want to talk about next, how Wilder dragged his Stiverne mandatory out for 8 months while making call outs on twitter only to actually fight Stiverne in the end anyways, after he payed side step money on September 1st 2017 ? Lol
Jesus Christ. *Wlad chose to fight Tyson Fury in the fall of 2015. * Wilder offered Povetkin a title fight in fall of 2015, Povetkin turned it down because he said he needed a tuneup. (Povetkin fought his tuneup Wach. Wilder fought his tuneup Duhaupas) * WLAD LOST TO FURY (MISERABLY I MIGHT ADD) and Wlad exercised his rematch clause * Wilder offered a title shot to Povetkin in early spring (Povetkin said he needed more time/Wilder fought Szpilka) * Wilder and Povetkin went to purse bids, the fight was set for May 2016 * Klitschko and Fury agreed to a rematch which was to take place IN JULY 2016. * Wilder-Povetkin is cancelled when Povetkin fails a drug test. Wilder signs to fight late sub-Arreola in July 2016. * Fury and Klitschko is postponed to October 2016 when Tyson (reportedly) hurts his ankle training. * Wilder tears his bicep and breaks his hand in the win over Arreola, forcing Wilder to have surgery and to take the rest of the year off. * Tyson Fury goes off the rails, the October 2016 fight with Wlad is cancelled. * Joshua fights Molina in December 2016 and Wlad and Joshua announce (after Joshua's win over Molina) they are fighting in the spring of 2017. How in the hell was it Wilder's fault that he and Wlad didn't fight at ANY POINT here? And where was this UNIFICATION between the beltless Wlad and Wilder supposed to happen? Wlad was focused on a Fury rematch. Wilder was focused on a Povetkin fight. NEITHER got them. And, in the process, Wilder suffers two major injuries and has to go under the knife. Go AWAY. You don't know what you're talking about.
Wlad didn't choose to fight Fury he had to BC he became Mandatory, you fool which it was already proven too you that Wilders own team stated they were in no rush for that fight regardless.... Povetkin became Wilders Mandatory 5 months after he won the title why can't you comprehend this? How could he offer Povetkin a title shot when his own team wouldn't even let him near Jennings? Povetkin fought Wach in Nov. 2015 he was already a mandatory for Wilder after he defeated Perez, Since May which was 7 months prior to that fight...the Povetkin fight vs Wilder was scheduled for May. 2016 you simpleton it was announced in March. Wilder CHOSE Arreola as Povetkin replacement.....thank god for that right ? He even gave him about 3 weeks to train for it when he had months to announce an opponent, now thats generous. Lol Then we would have to depend on Joshua fighting that bum Klitchko that was announced in Oct. 2016 who wanted that fight? ........ I didn't say it was Wilders fault he didn't fight Wlad..it was his choice in 2016 to not call him out...of course until he had signed to fight Joshua.....then as usual its another misleading call out. This is the problem with his fanbase, too busy defending false narratives and sounding like you are on crack...... Here's another winner... You stated Joshua announced he was fighting Wlad in 2017??? Wilder was so injured he fights before the Joshua vs Klitchko takes place..2 months to be exact against Washington...Lol The problem here is AJ vs Klitchko was originally scheduled for Dec. 2016 and Klitchko postponed it so AJ took the Molina fight as a replacement last minute so keep digging... Your own hole that is...lol Eventually you'll get something of substance.
I don't think Wilder becomes an ATG if he were to beat both. Just my opinion but this is an era that's unlikely to have an ATG. He may become the best of his era but that's about it.
