How would Wilder vs Ruiz have gone instead?

There aren`t 10 heavyweights better than Ruiz.

I'd still favour Wilder after his loss to Parker. Ruiz may have the hand speed but doesn't have the foot speed to close the gap on the taller, rangier Wilder. He will no doubt be dangerous with his counters, but he could also get caught and stopped as he's more static and give Wilder more opportunities to plant his feet and land the right hand.

But then again, Wilder only has the right hand and Ruiz could perhaps nullify it and if that happens we know Wilder gets schooled again.

That version of Wilder is a corpse looking for a box to crawl into, he looked terrible. If he was just rusty it will take a barrel of WD-40 to free him up.

Styles make fights. Numerous people have spelled it out for you. Ruiz is tailor made for Wilder, even if he lost to Parker

The only fighters that are tailor made for Wilder are slow, static bums with zero skills or power, like the kind he mostly fought in his career. Ruiz gave a younger more athletic Parker hell and beat the far superior version of Wilder in AJ. He'd run through this rusted version of Wilder like a prawn vindaloo.

Ruiz got dropped by a right from 42 year old Arreola. If anything a slow, static plodder perfectly describes Ruiz. He's tailor made for Wilder, like many others in the thread have pointed out.

Parker was also tailor made for Wilder apparently.

He wasn't. I even predicted him to win a decision 2 years back unlike a certain lot. But Ruiz is. Ruiz is retired anyway. Priced himself out
