Zeljko took bombs from Lennox Lewis and never went down. Would he have been able to stand up to Wlad's punches for 12 rounds? Does anybody think he would have had a shot in this fight? I didn't want to put this in the classic forum cuz Wlad's still active and Zeljko's not exactly an old-timer. How does everyone see this fight playing out?

Mavrovic was pretty bad-ass. This would be a good fight.

Anyways, what has this guy been doing lately? He retired after the Lennox fight i presume...

Didnt he develope a really bad sickness or something that didnt allow him to fight anymore?

I see the Wlad now TKOn him late in the fight, I remember both fighters hurting each other in this fight. I could see Wlad winning a tough bruising fight in the end.

He developed some form of degenerative disease I think, that effected either his muscle or bones. Not 100% sure.

Wlad should win UD. Mavrovic had a great chin.

There's always a possibility that a green Wlad could bomb himself out on Mavrovic, and get stopped himself eg Purrity, Brewster etc.

However, a Wlad that fights smart should probably take a UD, with maybe a few hairy spots, but he should get through them.

If Wlad turns it into a streetfight, he could find himself in real trouble.

Wlad wins 95/100 IMO. (at least......)

I agree, Mavrovic was a tough guy with a awkward style who had the ability to give anyone a tough time in the ring. I just remember Lewis' rocking him a couple times and he didnt go down, I still see him getting hurt later in the fight leading to a stoppage.

Yeah I read that it was some type of liver problem that made him lose a ton of weight, which forced him to retire.

i saw the mavrovic-lewis fight recently and i wasnt all that impressed with him. he had a lot of heart and a very good chin but really seemed clumsy and incapable of landing straight shots. after the 3rd, lewis completely dominated this poor guy and pretty much beat the **** out of him. the commentators were idiots to have it a close fight. It was 9-3 maybe and that's being generous.

wlad would easily outbox him and mavrovic may have raw power but he doesnt have the technical abilities to land against this wlad, who is much better defensively than the pre-uncle manny days. WLAD wide UD or late stoppage.

Yeah it does, he was a tough guy in the ring.
