If someone asked you how to describe his fighting style, what would you say?

Is it like an optimized Cuban Style?
    Optimized Amateur style?

    Defensive Specialist with near-elite offense?

In your words, what's the best way to describe his style?

    No-risk, boring but very effective.

Always picks slow, come forward punchers that are tailor made for his style.

He has his own style. He's a counter puncher, uses the shoulder roll... but he will also figure you out and exploit your weakness.

What I always enjoy is hearing the people that don't really know too much of boxing, but don't have the mind of an ignorant child and can give credit to people even if they don't like them... It usually goes like: "He's just too good, people can't keep up with him"

I think that's the main point. Every style has its weakness, we have to admit Floyd is just a truly great boxer. Yes he's defensive, but the reason some find him boring is because his opponents don't really push him to the limit. I feel he's partly to blame for not fighting consistently the bigger threats, but that's more on his mental make up, and not his fighting style.
