How would you describe Vitali's boxing style?

    If Wlad is text book and at times boring, what is Vitali? Unconventional?

    Watching the Klitschko dvd, one of his old trainers said he was awkward at many things and it would take him a while to learn new things. I think there was a line like: "if you told him to go left, he would go right" or something.

    Can anyone describe or give a breakdown of his style? Is it due to his size?

    It's ugly as **** to watch. He just looks so uncoordinated. It's like watching a really uncoordinated person dance, or watching Charles Barkley play golf. Somehow it's incredibly effective though.

    Ugly but effective. I guess sort of like Carlos Monzon where he gauges distance well and often pulls back from punches.

    Vitali throws a lot of arm punches to let the damage accumulate rather than committ to shots, and he likes throwing that jab out there to gauge the distance.

    Depends if you have knowledge of the sport or not.

    Klitschkos style is not nice to watch but probably the most effective, awkward, inscrutable style a HW-champ ever had. He has instinct fighting gifts and his punches from all angles are weird.

    Awkward, arm-punching, robotic counterpuncher that is heavily reliant on leaning away from punches and using height/reach to slowly wear down an opponent with arm punches while staying out of harm's way.
