How would you feel about Bute if he doesn't do his utmost to fight Kessler in 2009?

    True warrior, yeah!:good

But Mikkel was ready when he went for those titles, right? He had more pro experience than Bute, who's only fought 21 pro fights.

I would be a little disappointed, but as long as Bute fights other world-class fighters worthy of title shots, I'd be okay with it.

You mean guys like Froch v. Inkin winner? I think he should fight him and winner should fight Kessler.

Damn...forgot the Tsypko v. Stieglitz fight takes place on the 16th of February. Sorry for the misinformation on this topic.

Yeah, I was thinking either Carl Froch or Dennis Inkin.

I think Bute should fight the winner of Froch v. Inkin in Spring 2009, take an easy fight in summer and then - if he's still unbeaten and Kessler remains unbeaten in the meantime - Kessler fight in late 2009, with only Mundine's belt not in play.

    :-(

Tsypko pulled out of the fight.

    To answer your question:

    I don't care about 2009 now. I hope Bute will face a top10 opponent in spring/summer.

    What? When?

So what is happening? They will fight at a later date, right? No one will replace him, right?

    How's your German?

According to this article the fight won't be postponed. Tsypko will be replaced by another boxer.

My German is good enough to understand anything written. Thanks for that! Why isn't the IBF just postponing the fight?

Do you have a link for that quote?

I like Bute and I think he has real talent. I would like to see him fight some real top ten guys. I'd really like to see him fight Froch. Bute has good speed and I think (if he can take Froch's best shot) he would beat Froch. If it was up to me, Bute would fight 4 times this year, finishing the year fighting Kessler.

4 times is way too much if you have to fight MK at the end of it...it would take too much out of Bute and he wouldn't be fresh in the fourth.

Why? He is a young professional athlete. This used to be normal for fighters even a few years ago.

You need at least 4 months after the last fight before Kessler, I think. He would take 4 months at least too! (Took 7 months for Joe!)

I have always believed that Joe should have been more active.
    I see your point though.
