Think about it, Briggs is popular in the UK and everyone knows him. He's a name in boxing and could provide a solid 1-2 competitive rounds to Joshua and get knocked out & make AJ look good. It's a fight that could sell. Your thoughts?
I think if all else failed it is Wladimir Klitschko who would consider (and fight) Briggs if he had no other option next. Wladimir would fight him because that fight is already in the German boxing public's mindshare, following their previous antics. I think such a fight would probably be a last resort though. Wlad is seeking his titles back right now, but if he went and knocked Briggs out due to something falling through, he would get a pass on it now with no titles on the line (as a stay busy fight). Current Briggs wouldn't have been worth a title shot when he was champ, but it's a different situation now.
