No, not for me anyway. I already hate when fighters hang on too long, it's sad to me. The last thing I want to watch is a pair of once great, but now shot 50 year olds stumbling around the ring with brain damage. Watching a slow, compromised 52 year old Larry Holmes fight Butterbean was one of my saddest boxing moments. Nobody I know has enjoyed watching Jones over the last decade, watching Holyfield, Toney, Duran, and Hearns at the end was absolutely brutal. I could go on and on. Boxing isn't like other sports, for me this would be awful.

Exactly. The comparison point should not be some fantasy where old fighters DON'T continue their careers or aren't allowed to, but the current situation where they are fed to up and comers as a way to pad records.

To me, a defined structure where the old fighter can continue their career against fellow aging fighters is far better for all concerned that the current system. And, from a fan's perspective, it could produce some interesting, and potentially competitive matches.
