If you were a promoter and Valuev signed with you around, say the Levin fight, what would you have done? Put your morals aside for a minute and think like a promoter. How would you have gone about in making the most money with him? I know Valuev is a man and has feelings but I'm sure he understands quite well that he is a boxing anomaly and though he may feel like a circus attraction, he is a willing participant in the circus-like atmosphere that his very existence in the sport has created. He has earned a lot of money being the giant so he's gone along for the ride despite his reservations about being just an attraction (see King's buildup for the Barrett fight if you don't think so).

Knowing what you know about Valuev's ability as a fighter, what would you have done with him if he were your fighter in 2004? How would you have matched him and where would you have had him fight?

His present promoter Sauerland has done a pretty well job up to now ,cruiser.

Valuev used to fight whomever was put in front of him in whichever country he was forced to fight.

Anyone remembers his outstandingly weird fight with Sidon in Prague??

Madness, mayhem, a lynch mob,debris,3 rounds without a ref, cheating ring judges, ref who fleed the ring, beer covering the ring dust,Valuev and Sidon ice skating instead of fighting each other at times, crowd who went beserk, fight took place in a little theatre.

Valuev must be happy now fighting in front of a sold out arena being able to showcase his skills to millions tv viewers around the globe earing good bucks.

Honestly, it's hard to have managed him much better from a financial payout to risk standpoint. He's managed to capture a title and hold on to it, has likely made millions by this point, and all this while avoiding taking much in ring punishment (training alone puts wear and tear on him moreso than most other fighters, however).

I would have him fight wholely and solely in Germany with easily influenced (notice I didn't say corrupt) judges.

    Pretty much what's happenend.

Jeff Fenech once said judges are never paid off, but if one promoter is flying you in and out, paying for your meals and looking after you like royalty - who's fighter are they going to favour?????

I would've auditioned him in a Mummy film or the next Bond film. Just call him Valuev. He stands, he stares.........he stands, he stares..........he stands, he stares.

I'd have got him some HBO fights and made him more appealing to the American crowd, and switch venues from Germany and USA on a regular basis.

Valouev can box quite well, and he can punch punch extremely hard whenever he wants. I saw him knock a figher out of the ring in Australia, in fact, I think I have it somewhere on video. I would have him use his power and strength much more, he could have knocked Holyfield out if he had bothered to try, but then Holyfield did not seem to try either. Valouev's trainer has him not agressive enough now. Valouev broke a fighter's ribs with a left hook in Atlantic City. I first saw Valouev on HBO years ago, Roy Jones, Jr. showed some video of him. Jones was very impressed, but not just because of his size, he has skills that most do not know. I have followed him for years.

    Valouev Vs. Mayweather.

I remember when Valouev was only making $2,000 per fight!
